I’m excited to tell you about a new book, called French Blooms, published by my dear friend, Sandra Sigman.

French Blooms shares Sandra’s love of flowers, and illustrates her inspiration that comes in large part from the time she spent living in France. Creating a book is an adventure. An Alpena County woman was shocked when she turned a $30 win on a Michigan Lottery ticket into $6 million.

The woman, who chose to remain anonymous, was cashing in a $30 winning ticket at Perch’s IGA Foodstore, located at 1025 US Highway 23 North in Alpena, when she decided to use the money toward a $6,000,000 Jackpot instant ticket that costs $50.

Tim Allen has responded to Disney’s announcement of Toy Story 5.

On Wednesday (8 February), the studio revealed plans to make a fifth film in the Pixar franchise alongside a third Frozen film and a follow-up to Zootropolis (titled Zootopia in the US).

Bob Iger, Disney’s new CEO, told company investors in a call: “I’m so pleased to announce that we have sequels in the works from our animation studios to some of our most popular franchises.”

Lowe’s Home Improvement eyes far north Fort Worth for store

Lowe’s Home Improvement appears to be eyeballing a site for a 12th retail store in Tarrant County.

The North Carolina-based company with nearly 2,200 stores in the US and Canada is seeking a permit for a drainage study of about 14 acres along Avondale Haslet Road near US 81 in far north Fort Worth.

The site appears to be adjacent to the Walmart Supercenter that anchors this fast-growing corridor that’s already home to numerous fast-food restaurants and apartments.

Lowe’s already has a store in Keller on North Tarrant Parkway, about 15 miles away from the site,
